One of our Big4 clients in London is looking for an Advisory Manager within Renewable Energy & Waste Management and/or Infastructure Advisory.
The team has a solid background in infrastructure advisory, providing commercial advisory services covering their clients' renewable energy strategies & provding information on the market. They work in both the public and private sector: raising equity and debt, acting as lead advisors & providing transaction support on M&A deals.
Role Description:
* Work within small client-focused teams of 2 to 4 providing resource, technical input and backup as required
* Be involved in two or three projects reporting to different team leaders
* Enhance the group' s technical renewable energy knowledge through assignment specific research, and share technical knowledge with the group
* Carry out renewable energy market analyses; this can focus on benchmarking market players, different geographic markets and technologies, or other market features
* Critically assess embryonic projects, operations or strategies as part of feasibility studies and commercially appraise options
* Execute due diligence mandates; this may involve working at client sites throughout the UK and Europe
* Manage medium sized assignments reporting directly to Directors and Assistant Directors
* Advise public sector clients and private sector consortia:- 1. on bid strategies, 2. by providing detailed financial analysis, 3. in support of bid submissions, often working to challenging deadlines
* Negotiate terms, conditions and prices with potential funders and capital market underwriters for project finance
* Be responsible for developing and editing financial input into PFI bids and attendance at meetings with clients and other advisers
* Develop within a multidisciplinary team procurement strategies and documentation for distribution to bidders
* Present to clients and generate complex reports to convey conclusions and arguments
* Articulate problems in easy to understand language
* Develop and use complex financial models and advise clients on financial structures, viability, valuations, sensitivity and scenario analysis.
* Review, analyse and evaluate bids received for projects on behalf of project sponsors
* Derive sales proposals to target clients, attendance and participation in sales presentations, seminars etc
* Ad hoc involvement in internal activities ranging from recruitment to communications strategies
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience within the renewable energy and/or waste management sectors
* Professionally qualified: ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or CIMA
* Experience of providing advice to internal or external clients
* Well developed oral and written communication skills
* Ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, organisations and clients
* High degree of personal drive and motivation to succeed
* Analytical in approach
* Strong team player
* A willingness and flexibility to work away from office if necessary
* Strong presentation skills
