Full Description:
This is a Management Accounting position which would suit a part qualified Accountant/Newly qualified accountant. Of particular interest are those with experience of costing and charging rates.
You will deal with the:
1. Preparation and presentation of monthly results (P&L / Balance Sheet), rolling forecasts, risk and opportunity reports, cash flow projections and business area management pack.
2. Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations for business areas. Manage risks / opportunities. Clear Action Points on a timely basis. Provide robust monthly forecasts.
3. Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets for relevant areas to required format/deadlines and demonstrate challenge on business areas.
4. Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place to manage and monitor business processes and meet all corporate governance requirements.
5. Complete KPI data for business area and ensure stretch in performance.
6. Document business area process flows, prepare an accounts manual; deliver Service Level Agreement with the business managers.
7. Attend monthly business area reviews; provide financial support; challenge to ensure performance stretch is delivered.
8. Project Initiatives to deliver ongoing business area performance improvements with business partners e.g. robust stock control management
9. Assist with other adhoc requests and responsibilities when required
Based in Ayrshire, this is an opportunity to work with a major international company which will provide a challenging and stimulating working environment. As well as good all round management accounting experience, you should be motivated with the ability to work both as part of a team and on individual pieces of work and you should have the ability to communicate information to business managers with little or no experience of finance.
