| Sonavision is an independent company, based in Aberdeen, specialising in the design and manufacture of Sonar, Acoustic and Video systems for underwater use in the oil and gas, hydrographic, defence, environmental research and fishing industries. We are recruiting an additional senior electronic design engineer with proven ability in hardware and embedded software design for further challenging new product development. All detail design work is done in-house by permanent staff. We use specialist subcontract manufacturers for production. Our products use a wide range of technologies including microcontrollers, DSP devices and CPLD’s. Experience in digital hardware design, embedded code and VHDL are very important whilst an ability, and desire, to see development through to production would be important. Additional training in specialist skills would be available. Experience in more specialised techniques such as the use of DSP methods (implemented in DSP or FPGA) for processing signals up to 1MHz and the associated analogue front end circuitry would be useful. Knowledge of sonar and acoustic technologies would also be an advantage. Salary negotiable Contact through e-mail with CV. |
