| Our client require a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Measurement Engineer to join their new office in Midlothian, based at Newtongrange with excellent transport links and next to the city by-pass. They have recently commissioned a new £3m coated stone manufacturing facility at Newtongrange, Edinburgh and they are seeking an experienced person to join the Contracting Team. Preferably you will have a Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering background and you will be responsible for the post contract commercial management of the road construction and maintenance activities. There are considerable opportunities for progression within the company for the right person and as a senior member of the team, you will be expected to maintain an excellent working relationship with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers and to use your skills to assist with the continued profitable growth of the business. You should ideally be a good communicator, with a strong subscription to team work. You will report direct to the Commercial Director who is based from the Aberdeen head office so their is a high degree of autonomy in this role. On top of a high basic salary you can expect 31 days holiday, a profit related bonus, a 5% matching contributory pension and a company car. If you would like further information please get in touch.
