| THE ROLE Senior Bridge Engineer Location: Glasgow Salary: £35-40k Benefits Package: Pension, Private Health Care, Life Assurance First People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Senior Bridge Engineer to join the Glasgow office of an international Consulting Engineers. Our client is one of leading consultancies providing multi disciplinary services to the Railway sector. Our client requires an experienced Bridge Engineer to join their Civil & Structural Engineering team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to assist the Section Manager to further develop the existing bridges section in Glasgow. They have a current workload encompassing no fewer than 11 major projects with a capital value in excess of £350M. You will be responsible for the design/assessment of bridges with respect to projects in the Railway environment. This will include bridge design/assessments in all materials, concrete, steel or composite. You will mentor junior engineers and graduates and assist the Section Manager to ensure that designs are compiled diligently. You will also be responsible for compiling fee bids for single and multi-discipline projects. The successful candidate will ideally be a Chartered Engineer (MICE) and have demonstrable experience of bridge design and construction, preferably but not essentially involving railway structures.
