| Our client is a leading oil and gas business in the midst of a very significant growth period. As a result of this expansion they need to source an experienced manufacturing/production professional, reporting to the Operations Director you shall have an important role in the day to day operations. You shall manage a team of up to 30 people across a varying shift pattern, and as such shall be charged with production planning and control, with project management, process improvements (lean manufacturing techniques) and be the focal point for any customer related issues - be they internal or external. It is expected that you shall have a demonstrable background in staff management, and of lean manufacturing implementations and techniques specifically in a production/manufacturing environment (Ideally this shall be in the electronics/electrical cabling/component manufacturing). You shall have excellent communication skills - oral and written and be well versed in the use of various computer systems.
