| Our client is a majorengineering consultancy with overoffices throughout the UK and Abroad. Their multi-disciplinary Energy Services team of environmental and engineering specialists is growing to meet demand the obvious demand of the Renewable Energy and Power Sector. With a client base from both the public and private sectors, their projects are complex and challenging including the full range of project development services from site finding through to commissioning. They are looking for a flexible, confident communicator with wind energy experience to undertake Project Management, Project Delivery, Resource Co-ordination, and Sector/Business Development duties on a wide range of renewable energy projects. Candidates that have some but not all of this experience will still be of considerable interest to our client. If you are at least degree qualified in an engineering or physical science discipline and have directly relevant wind farm developer or consultancy experience, they can offer you proactive support to develop your personal and technical skills on a range of Renewable Sector projects. As an experienced consultant on windfarm projects - you should have typically 5 years directly relevant experience, with an in depth understanding of the wind industry, the project development process (resource assessment, conceptual design, EIA and planning, grid connections, site infrastructure, commercial development, project finance etc.), major capital plant procurement and contracting practices. Knowledge of other renewable and conventional power technologies would be an advantage. Knowledge some industry standard software packages such as: Windfarm - Resoft; Wind Pro; WAsP - Wind analysis software; Surfer; Autocad; Auto Track; Mapinfo - GIS; Corel Draw, is desirable. You will also need to display the ability to manage a project team or manage staff. Candidates can expect to enjoy considerable training and exposure to significant UK based Renewable projects. Their city centre location offers excellent travel links making it possible for candidates throughout the central belt able to work for this consultancy.
