Our client is a world leader in their field which covers media, telecoms and entertainment; which they deliver through the use of cutting edge technology and business processes.
They are seeking an experienced developer to operate as Team Leader of a J2EE applications team. You will be educated to degree level with continuous relevant development experience and preference will be given to those with a Sun Certified Java qualification.
The key skills are : J2EE in a telecoms environment, LLU (Local Loop Unbundling) and strong team leading experience. Any knowledge of billing systems is also an advantage.
The in depth wish list covers the following :
You will require strong development skills in Java / J2EE Enterprise level solutions within a complex integrated environment. Significant experience in development of software solutions using WSAD/RAD IDE. Strong appreciation of middleware technologies (e.g. JMS/MQ/WMQI) and experience in IBM Rational toolkit (e.g. RAD/RSA/ClearCase). Strong XML & SQL skills, experience of JUnit for unit testing. Experience in Design of J2EE solutions (UML skills. Experience of developing and implementing complex systems integration projects. Appreciation of Development and Design skills in J2EE or similar OO environment, knowledge of the full project lifecycle delivery and a range of project delivery methods (RAD, JAD, Waterfall etc) and the ability to rapidly absorb and apply technical information.
You will be logical and analytical in your approach to problem solving with the ability to identify gaps in available information.
Experience of working in telecoms sector – particularly in EMP/WLR3
5 - 7 years post qualification IT experience with an outstanding record of success
3 years experience in a Technical Lead or Team Leader Role
Minimum 3 years hands on design and development experience in OO environment.
