An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Health Nurse to join the Group Occupational Health & Safety Team in Shared Services to cover a maternity leave for 9-12 months.
Reporting to the Group Occupational H&S Advisor, you will be part of a small team which provides a comprehensive occupational health and safety service to the UK Operating Companies.
The successful candidate will be competent in case management, health surveillance and pre employment screening. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Providing case management assessments – assessing both individual and management to help reduce sickness absence and promote the health and well-being of employees.
• Maintaining the highest standards of Occupational Health delivery – ensuring medical confidentiality
• Delivery of health surveillance in line with current legislation.
• Liasing with GP' s, consultants and other health specialists.
• Ability to work unsupervised on your own intitative and as part of a team.

TECHNICAL CRITERIA REQUIRED:
Essential:
• Registered General Nurse
• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health Nursing
• Able to work on own initiative
• Good communication skills
• Report writing skills
Desirable:
• IT literate in word and excel
• 1-2 years experience of working in an Occupational health service
