Full Description:
Our client has a long established Power Engineering team in England and are now seeking to develop their capabilities in Scotland. They are working on high profile Power Generation projects throughout the Europe and Asia. They have a need for a Electrical Engineer with experience working in the Power sector.
To actively contribute specialist knowledge as a member of multiple discipline teams to projects involving various types of power generation including those of a renewable nature. To maintain, develop and update existing specialist knowledge of standard specifications, regulations, codes of practice and technology and thereby enhance the overall capability of the Generation Group. To maintain good communication skills and the ability to prepare written statements and reports of the highest standard.
Requirements: Preparation of feasibility studies, conceptual designs and reports.
Compilation of design data for project studies and reports.
Preparation of technical specifications and data schedules for inclusion in tender enquiry documentation.
Technical assessment and clarification of tenders.
Review and comment on contract design submissions taking account of applicable specifications, regulations and codes of practice.
Establish site erection procedures and programme and coordinate with others.
Participate in testing and checking at site of contract guarantees.
Approval of final contract drawings and documents including operating and maintenance instructions.
Investigate breakdowns, failures, and designs and carry out other special investigations.
Liaison within the company as necessary to fulfil the above requirements.
Attend discussions with clients, tender's, contractors, manufacturers, lending agencies, etc as necessary to fulfil the above requirements.
Make visits in UK and overseas as necessary to fulfil the above requirements.
Assist in the training of graduate engineers.
Assist in the preparation of expressions of interest, registrations, pre-qualifications and proposals.
Assist in the presentation of the company to clients and potential clients both formally and informally as circumstances may present themselves.
