    Our Perth based client is a joint venture of two of the largest and well-known civil engineering companies within the UK and is responsible for management and maintenance services of roads and bridges in Scotland.
    Trading from their new, open planned offices in Perth, our client is looking for a Street Lighting Manager to take responsibility for running the street lighting team and to supervise and direct in house workforce and sub-contractors.
    Key Duties of the job include (but not limited to): -
    Produce annual, three monthly and two weekly works programmes
    Provide information to allow road space allocation to be completed on a weekly basis
    Undertake responsibility for ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
    Ensure that risk assessments and method statements are produced in accordance with safe working procedures and that the operatives employed are adequately trained and experienced to carry out the work
    Ensure that all COSHH assessments are undertaken for hazardous materials
    Check all drawings, operations instructions, and contract documents
    Ensure that correct supervision is available and is proactive in ensuring programme, HSEQ and KPI contract targets are met
    Ensure that resources of labour, plant and material are available when required and are used effectively
    Monitor the standard of workman ship and hold regular meetings to discuss programme and progress
    Ensure that the outcome of operations meet the expectations of the contract and the company
    Ensure IQMS procedures are followed
    Monthly cost/value reporting to the deputy network manager.


    The candidate will be experienced within construction and/or highway maintenance and ideally educated to degree level in electrical engineering. You must have the ability to manage a workforce, both direct and subcontract labour, be an excellent team player and be able to communicate at all levels.
