| My client a large local authority organisation are looking for a Section Manager within Cartographic and Mapping Services. Specific duties within this role are to establish and maintain a property database showing all the council and and property interests and maintain mechanisms to deal with land and ownership enquiries, both internal and external. You will also be involved with land surveys and be required to produce plans for all property disposals, including council house sales and leased property. You will lead a team responsible for the provision of mapping, land surveying and title investigation services. This includes responsibility of maps and plans for property transactions, including council house sales, ownership enquiries, the provision of a GIS system, and a land survey service. In addition, you will be responsible for the day to day management of the Section and deal directly with the key and more complex issues relating to the workload of the Section. For this post it is essential that you are a member of the RICS or equivalent, with at least 7 years relevant property experience with a minimum of 3 years at post qualification level. Management experience with knowledge of Local Authority is desirable and a a current driving licence is also a requirement. Please apply with full CV to Vicky Lang in the Glasgow office.
