| Application Specialist - Multiple Roles - APPLY NOW Location: Glasgow Salary: Negotiable with experience Benefits Package: Bonus, Pension, Healthcare and Extras + Shift allowance THE COMPANY FPSG's client, a world wide Asset Management organsation with offices all over the world. THE ROLE We are looking for a software support professional to support the proprietary trading applications. This includes working closely with London Business users to resolve current issues. Part of this role is also to liase with support teams in the US and Asia on issues that impact across regions. Strong analytical skills are required to resolve issues, identify root causes and maintain overall application availability. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple issues is essential. Technical Skills: Essential: Any SQL-based RDBMS Unix Preferred: Experience of one of more of the following: Visual Basic / Java Sybase UDB/DB2 Java Person Specification (e.g. background/personal competencies): Problem solving and analytical skills Willingness to cross-train and ability to learn quickly Excellent multi-tasking capabilities Solid communication skills, both written and oral A self-starter, with the confidence to drive issues through to resolution at a fast pace Flexibility, able to change priorities at short notice You will be rewarded with an excellent salary package and shift allowance. The shifts will cover from 7am - 7pm and one in 6 nightshifts. |
