Our client, a housebuilder, are currently looking to recruit a Commercial Manager to lead their Edinburgh based team. The job would ideally be suited to those with previous housebuilding experience, ideally at a management level, although this is not essential. You will be managing a team of Quantity Surveyors and report into the Technical Director, but will have a high degree of autonomy. You will support site development and the attainment of targets by managing: the preparation of commercial cost appraisals and viability/feasibility analysis; the procurement of sub-contractors, the preparation and monitoring of site costs and budgets; and site start H&S. Our client has become Britain's largest housebuilder and has built and sold around 300,000 homes. The role will be predominantly office based with site travel when required. The sites are based within the East of Scotland and range from inner city flatted developments to large suburban housing estates.
