Java Production Support Analyst - Java/Oracle
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Competitive + great benefits package
THE COMPANY
Our client is a global blue chip organisation who offer excellent packages and challenging opportunities, and are recognised as a leading employer in Glasgow.
THE ROLE
Design, build, test and 3rd line support of both Java and Integration applications (Websphere Message Broker) in a fast paced environment. You will have experience in IT support service delivery with excellent communication skills, be delivery focused and able to work under pressure.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Java and Oracle are absolutely essential
End to end diagnosis skills
General experience on a variety of platforms useful
Must be a quick learner with the ability to appreciate and apply standards and principles
Self motivated - ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision
Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers
Good organisational and time management skills
Delivery focused and able to work under pressure
DESIRABLE:
WebSphere
Unix scripting skills
Thick client application structures
Identity Management
Message Oriented Middleware
Message Broker
