Full Description:
Planner Urgently required for minimum 6-month contract in East Lothian.

In this role you will be working as part of a team of ten within Development Control. This role has arisen due to a need to deal with a major backlog of planning applications. In this role you will be dealing with the complexities of development contracts therefore it is essential that you have substantial experience working on these types of applications. Youmust be able to work well on your own initiative as you will be required to clear alot of planning applications within the duration of the 6-months. As part of this role you will be interfacing with Councillors, consultants as well as the public who may object to the applications. You will also be required to go to site, therefore a driving license as well as access to your own transport is essential.

You will have a Degree qualification in planning and ideally be a member of the RTPI .You will need to demonstrate prior extensive report writing skillswithin development control. An essential component to this role will be prior experience workingwithin a development control department within the public sector.You will have used Uniform software package. Other pre-requisites to this role also include the ability to work on various development type applications. These will include minerals, Housing developments, retail, commercial and business developments as well as change of use.
