Senior Business Banking Advisor

Location: Clydebank, Glasgow
Salary: £16k - £19,500 + bonus

THE COMPANY
Our client is part of an international financial services organisation that dates back to 1858. One of the leading Scottish banks, they have 150 branches throughout Scotland, North England and London, as well as dedicated banking centres, and have won several awards in recent years recognising their success as a leading finance industry employer and commitment to ongoing expansion through the UK. This position will be based in their award winning European Banking Centre based in Clydebank within the business banking sector.

THE ROLE
Your role will be to provide expert advice to commercial customers on lending and product recommendation. You will also drive product sales together with generating referrals for Retail Banking, general insurance and regulated products or cross segment sales.

Your typical responsibilities will be to:

*Promote the banks' services and maximise business and retail sales opportunities whilst protecting the customer experience
*Assess the quality of lending proposal, analysing customer financial information, and establish with customers a sound and robust basis for agreeing lending in line with credit and risk management guidelines
*Analyse customer borrowing requirements and recommend accordingly, completing lending documentation for approval by credit analysis
*Dealing with inbound customer calls and enquiries and the pro-active contacting of customers by telephone to discuss existing facilities and identify cross selling opportunities

The successful candidate will provide a key front line service, to new and existing business customers on a full range of account enquiries.

EXPERIENCE
Candidates should be able to demonstrate proven excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to build good relationships with customers via the direct channel, to ensure the Bank's reputation remains high. You will also have a strong drive to satisfy customers needs and exceed sales targets and have experience working in a business environment. As well as this, candidates must demonstrate a real "can do" attitude and enthusiasm for driving the business forward.

This would suit a candidate from a strong business to business sales or banking background.
