| My client is a highly reputable surveying consultancy in Edinburgh that provides services in quantity surveying, project management, M&E services surveying, CDM regulations and building surveying. They are a UK wide business with offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and London, and a sister business in Kiev. They have a diverse portfolio in which projects range from £100,000 to over £150m. Their building surveying section is the largest in Scotland and is looking to add another member to its already very successful team. The most notable projects the section is currently running are 147 statutory notices, a £5.5 million refurbishment and a £1million refurbishment in and around Edinburgh. The 14 man strong section has recently been restructured and you would be joining a specialist group that concentrates on professional works, for example, bank and funding monitoring and schedules of dilapidations. However, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the remaining two sections, which cover major projects, and statutory repair notices. This consultancy covers a wealth of options for building surveyors with clients covering all industries including commercial, some residential, public and private sectors and industrial and infrastructure works. Ideally, you will have a degree in building surveying and be a chartered member of RICS. However, this route is not essential and building surveyors with all levels of qualifications will be considered. You must be competent in all areas of building surveying with an ability to take on a portfolio of projects and develop the business further in line with growth plans. In return my client is willing to offer a negotiable and competitive salary, company car or car allowance, an impressive 8% contributory pension with 5% individual contribution and 32 days annual leave including public holidays. |
