Full Description:
My client is the factor of one of the largest Country Estates in Scotland. They have a rare and exciting vacancy for a candidate with experience as a Clerk of Works and/or Building Surveyor. You can expect to earn up to £35,000 (salary is completely negotiable and dependant on experience) and you will be provided with a company car.

An average day will include:
- Managing the Clerk of Work department - comprising of a Joiner, Plumber, Labourer and a Welder.
- Meeting with the staff in the morning to delegate and coordinate work for the day
- Ensuring work is in line with Health and Safety Regulations
- Supervise and employ contractors working on any of the Estates cottages, farm and commercial buildings.
- Dealing with any reactive maintenance in the Country Estate, including tenants living in any Estate owned Properties
- Liaising and controlling contractors and any tendering processes
- Carrying out any building inspections and surveys, identifying defects and organising any repair required
- Controlling work within a set budget
- Repair and Maintenance of any water supplies across the Estate
- Repair and Maintenance of any utilities, for example, gas, electricity and central heating issues. Delegating tasks to contractors where necessary

Additionally your Job will encompass:
- Development of barns and buildings to boost capital on the Estate. This will include being involved in running the project from pre design stage to completion.
- Producing Planned Maintenance Programmes for the Estates Property Portfolio, covering 30,000 acres in the South and East of Scotland.
