Oracle Application Support Analyst

Location: Glasgow
Salary: Competitive + great benefits package

THE COMPANY

THE ROLE
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Oracle Application Support Analyst to join a multi-skilled team where you will have the opportunity to cross train in Java and middleware messaging systems as well as the opportunity to get involved in occasional development work.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Experience in Oracle application support is essential
End to end diagnosis skills
General experience on a variety of platforms useful
Must be a quick learner with the ability to appreciate and apply standards and principles
Self motivated - ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision
Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers
Good organisational and time management skills
Delivery focused and able to work under pressure

DESIRABLE:
Java application support experience
WebSphere
Unix scripting skills
Thick client application structures
Identity Management
Message Oriented Middleware
Message Broker
