| This client is a market leader in Building Surveying and is looking to take on an Associate level Building Surveyor to join their team of 12 in their Edinburgh Office. At present the team grows by 1 or 2 members per year and therefore need another Associate to support the 2 Directors and one Associate that exists already. You can expect a salary in excess of £45,000 plus benefits package. The consultancy will offer a very competitive salary and benefits package that will include a flexible car allowance or company car, generous performance based annual bonus, contributory pension and 20 days annual leaveplus statutory holidays. This role would suit an experienced chartered Senior or Associate level Building Surveyor looking to further their career through a passion for business development and client liaison, as well as, being highly competent in all aspects of building surveying. The Associate will also provide guidance and advice to Senior Building Surveyors and also the group of graduates they train. The Building Surveying department deals with mainly traditional Building Surveying, which covers predominantly commercial and professional work. At present the consultancies projects are; a £2.65 million refurbishment, an £800,000 refurbishment of an Edinburgh Hotel and with a recent completion of a £1.2 million dilapidation against the Council the projects, and experience that they provide is second to none. They are seeking to break into the term commission markets with clients such as Universities, and would like the Associate to be heavily involved in trying to break into new markets like this. Aside from traditional Building Surveying work, the main and most important role for the Associate will be to generate new business and so the ability to communicate well and to develop and retain client relationships is vital. |
