ASSISTANT CIVIL ENGINEER - GLASGOW (City Centre/East End)- £28K - £34K + Healthcare, Pension, Free Parking, 5 minutes from train Station.

My client specialises in the provision of planning, design and management services for infrastructure development worldwide. With interests in transportation, water, maritime and property, the company is undertaking commissions in over 70 countries from a network of more than 70 offices. The Land Development team have expertise in all aspects of design, management and construction of projects throughout Scotland.

Due to continued expansion, there is an immediate need for an Assistant Civil Engineer to join the busy Glasgow team. The key objective for this role is the hands-on geotechnical, drainage and civil design for a wide range of projects, both in public and private sectors.

Key areas of responsibility are:

Preparation of PhI Geoenvironmental Reports tender documents and appraisals.
Designing of foundations and concrete retaining structures.
Designing, managing and co-ordinating site investigation contracts.
Report writing, in particular interpretive site investigation reports and drainage assessments.
Support senior engineer in liaising with design team and client and attending meetings where necessary.
Attendance on site as required during construction.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills:
Knowledge and experience in the use of AutoCAD.
A relevant degree for example MEng of equivalent.
Background in consultancy and working in a multi-disciplinary office.
Innovative, proactive, team player, good communicator.
