THE ROLE: FUND ACCOUNTANT
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Negotiable
Benefits Package: First Class Package
With an already established and sizeable function in Glasgow, this major Financial Services organisation is continuing to grow its Fund Services team.
Working very closely with the business Client Account Managers, the Fund Accountants will be tasked with ensuring accurate accounts and Net Asset Value calculations of their hedge fund clients and to review technical accounting, operating and performance related issues. Clients will invest in a wide range of securities and derivatives providing the Fund Accountant with exposure to complex investments.
In addition, the Fund Accountant will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and reconciling general ledger exceptions
- Ensuring corporate actions are accounted for accurately
- Helping with the preparation of year end Financial Statements
- Identifying and implementing process changes to enhance efficiency
You could be a qualified accountant looking to establish yourself in this challenging area of Financial Services or you could be qualified by experience in Fund accounting.
In both cases, you should have well developed interpersonal skills, with a high level of numeracy and accuracy and be able to adapt to developing business models.
