| To further enhance our clients Engineering resources, they are currently seeking an experienced candidate to undertake the mechanical fitting, machining and welding required for the manufacture of new products from design stage to introduction to the field and implement modifications to existing equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES Undertake the assembly and testing of our clients new and modified pipe handling, manual and hydraulic make-up tools, torque turn equipment and hydraulic power units. Liaise with our clients Engineers during the assembly and test phases of new build and test. Supervise mechanical Workshop personnel in the execution of new build and modified equipment. Welding of materials using MIG and ARC welding equipment. To ensure required level of equipment spares are maintained. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Relevant qualification/Diploma (or equivalent in practical experience) in Mechanical Fitting. Relevant qualification/Diploma (or equivalent in practical experience) in fabrication and machining practices. Several years of SMAW and MIG practical welding experience. Familiarity with manufacture and repair of pipe handling, manual and hydraulic make-up tools and hydraulic power units. Familiarity with national drawing standards and practices. Capable of working to time restraints, accurately and with minimal supervision. Good communication skills. MARGIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Supervisory skills. Forklift license Overhead crane/Banksman Slinger certification Valid Driver's license. |
