THE COMPANY

THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Java Technical Lead / Technical Architect with extensive experience across a wide range of technologies who has a proven track record in financial services (ideally Retail banking).
This role is for an all round expert/enthusiast with exceptional natural capacity for modern large-scale Internet systems. You will hold a breadth of knowledge of J2EE, Oracle, Identity Management, Infrastructure, Message Oriented Middleware and detailed knowledge in one of them.

A significant proportion of your professional career will have been spent gaining knowledge of Java Enterprise solutions, Oracle, Identity Management, Message Oriented Middleware and Infrastructure design. Clear evidence of the ability to produce added value technical solutions to major business problems is essential.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Java/J2EE - Able to demonstrate a significant track record in architecture design and development.
Exposure to web technologies (EJB, JSP, Struts, Hibernate, Spring, Swing)
Oracle - demonstrable commercial experience
Solaris - demonstrable commercial experience
Full Life cycle experience
Object Orientated Analysis and Design
Liaison with internal and external customers
Build effective relationships
Identifying future solutions through research and feasibility studies
Proven record in contributing to the development of policies, technical/testing strategies and guidelines.

DESIRABLE SKILLS
Message Orientated Middleware - JMS/IBM Message Broker/IBM MQ
Identity Management
