| New Job: Structural Technician Job Area: East Kilbride Job Salary: £19k - £28k + Free Parking and other benefits. My client is a well established civil and structural engineering consultancy based in East Kilbride. The company is growing due to an expanding workload in residential, commercial and retail building structures (new build and refurb). There clients comprise of local authorities, private individuals, private developers, housing associations, insurance companies, architects and other commercial and industrial concerns. There practical approach is applied at every stage throughout a project from feasibility study through ground investigation, design, liaison with Local Authority, tender, construction and site supervision. As a structural CAD technician you will produce detail designs for building structure projects. This includes flatted developments and other retail, leisure and commercial developments. There is a hands on detailed design element to this role, using Auto CAD software to produce detail and general arrangement drawings for tender and construction. Structures will be designed in steel, concrete, timber and masonry. You will work closely with experienced structural engineers. You will be HNC qualified, have knowledge of building structures projects and be proficient in AutoCAD.
