Full Description:
My client is a Global Consultancy who are one of the Sunday Times 20 Best Big Companies to Work For 2007. They are one of the largest Multi-disciplinary Consultancies in Europe and have an excellent reputation.

My client has a requirement for a Principal Geo-technical Engineer to lead and develop an environmental team within their City Centre Edinburgh office.

Role-

- Assist with the generation of new business
- Establish and lead a new team in Edinburgh
- Take the role of design team leader on projects
- Developing relationships with clients ensuring the commercial and technical success of projects
- Manage delivery of projects, including management of staff resource to meet workload
- Assist with the professional development of junior staff within the team

Requirements/ Skills-

- Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or Geomorphology
- Experience in civil engineering consultancy/ ground investigation / ground engineering contractor or as a Goe-technical specialist in academia
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills
- Valid UK driving licence
- Commercial awareness and client driven
- Experience of ground condition issues relevant to Scotland or Wales
