Full Description:
This is an excellent role with a well known fund manager where you will ensure that what the company says it is doing, is actually being done. You will also be looking at processes from a strategic point of view. The Fund Oversight group helps to ensure that funds perform as they expect, and you will manage 2 analysts and be the key point of contact for registrars, trustees and CIOs who want to take an action and are checking if regulations permit. You will be involved if the question is on a strategic level, for example, if an action is without precedent or concerns a new product. From a qualifications point of view some of the following would be helpful:
• Degree-level educated with further investment compliance qualifications: CFA / ACA / ACCA preferred
• Good compliance experience at a senior level within a regulated UK financial services business, ideally investment compliance with retail products. European regulatory experience advantageous
• In depth knowledge of FSA regulations as they relate to investment powers and limits of UCITs and UCIs. Knowledge of CSSF regulations beneficial
