Full Description:
Small Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy currently based in Paisley. We are seeking an enthusiastic Structural Engineering Technician to meet our current busy and varied workload covering all aspects of the commercial and private industry.

The Opportunity

The applicant will be required to produce detailed structural drawings using AutoCAD software, liaise with and use Architects’ drawings and Engineers’ calculations. A working knowledge of the current Building Regulations – along with an understanding of basic Building Structure (steel, concrete, timber, masonry) is required. Experience of detailing Roads and Drainage would also be beneficial.

Candidates are required to work as part of a team and possess effective communication skills. A committed and flexible approach to working hours will be required as occasional overtime will be necessary.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil/Structural Engineering Technician looking to use and improve their skills and challenge themselves on interesting projects.

Skills, Qualities and Achievements

A working knowledge of AutoCAD is required. On-going training and development will be available to suitable candidates.

The applicant should be either ONC or HNC qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related subject. However, candidates working towards ONC would also be considered.
