| Our Client a major global consultancy requires a CAD technician to join their water team. Based in their city-centre Edinburgh office you will be producing civil drawings for major Infrastructure projects for Scottish Water. Some projects you will be involved with include: A Strategic Review of Scottish Waters asset database including all wastewater and water treatment works, pumping stations, etc. in order to meet the requirements of Scottish Waters Regulator. Strategic Studies of 78 water resource zones to establish the potential impact of implementing the Birds and Habitats and the Water Framework Directives on current and future abstractions by Scottish Water. Our client's services has an emphasis on safety, recovery and structuring of water and eco-systems, water policy and flood prevention. They have broad expertise to offer in the field of water; from quality care to water treatment and purification. They are accomplished in integral water management and water treatment in the broadest sense of the word: drinking, process and waste water. They advise municipalities, industry and district water boards on purification and waste water disposal. They also formulate plans and projects for the use of surface water and advise industry on realising waste water recycling. You will be fully conversant in AutoCAD and have demonstrable experience working within the civil engineering sector. You will ideally have experience mentoring other Technicians and be able to work to tight deadlines. This is an excellent starting point for any Technician wanting to gain further experience within the Water Industry. This is a medium-long term contract position that could lead to a contract extension or possibly a permanent prospect. |
