Role - Technical Accountant
Location - Aberdeen
Opportunity to join leading service client as Technical Accountant in their Global Finance & Tax Team. The position offers a diverse and challenging role, with good prospects for progression. The main responsibilities of this role are:
Providing technical accounting advice (IFRS) around the group
Preparation of the consolidated group Annual Report
Providing input in respect of the Stock Exchange reporting / requirements
Review and interpretation of Stock Exchange notices / additional requirements
Responsibility for ensuring the group's finance policies and procedures are up to date and complete
Additional support to the Group Finance Manager and/or Group Financial Controller as necessary
You will ideally be CA qualified (or equivalent).
You should have strong technical and accounting knowledge (preferably IFRS) and be willing to work hard to drive the function forward.
Skills
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and SAP experience is an advantage
Self Management:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and SAP experience is an advantage
Good organisational skills and smart working methods
Qualifications and Education
General Education:
Educated to degree level
Specified Qualifications for position:
Professional Accounting qualification (preferably CA)
Continuing Professional Development:
Can articulate learning and training experiences
Experience
General Experience: Experience in a Big four accounting firm would be an advantage
Technical Experience:
Strong technical accounting skills required (preferably knowledge of IFRS)
