Hays have been instructed by aleading Civil Engineering contractor who have proven and extensive civil engineering and project management skills, delivering engineering excellence through cost-efficient, client focused solutions from minor works through tomajor infrastructure projects. They are a strong organisation with a 25 year record of growth and success in the Scottish Market.Their dedicated project teams are active in all sectors of the civil engineering including highways, airports, railways, regeneration, harbour and marine works, water and sewerage, on-shore petrochemical works and substations with contracts ranging in value £50,000 to £25m.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding regional team based from their Glasgow office.The appointed candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commercial function on a number of prestigious projects for key clients, ensuring the appropriate delivery of cash valuations, cost control, forecasting and client liaison by site teams. You will join an established commerical team and will report directly to the Commercial Director.The ideal candidate should be suitably qualityand have some experience of dealing with legal issues.
You will have responsibility of several Quantity Surveyors of varying experience therefore are required tohave excellent communication skills, strong commercial acumen and contractual understanding is essential.Previous managerial experience, whilst preferred, is not essential as the role would suit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who was suitably motivated, capable individual ready to progress their their career to the next level.
